Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Hawks forward/center Gustavo Ayon will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery on Friday.
The Hawks said Ayon had his right shoulder repaired and will begin a period of rest, followed by treatment and rehabilitation. He had missed the past five games.
Ayon was averaging 4.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 26 games, including 14 starts, this season.
