Martin Harnik scored twice as Stuttgart 1 victory over Augsburg on Sunday in Benz Arena.

Harnik opened the scoring 4 minutes before halftime, then answered a goal from Augsburg's Tobias Werner 2 minutes after the break with the game-winner in the 51st minute.

Stuttgart climbed to sixth in the standings, ahead of Bayer Leverkusen on goal differential, to claim the last of the league's two Europa League spots after 13 weeks.

Promoted Augsburg lost for the seventh time in 13 matches, and has just eight points in its debut season in Germany's top division. Augsburg is winless in three matches, with the last two being losses.

Hamburg 2, Hoffenheim 0

Hamburg, Germany - Jose Paolo Guerrero and Marcell Jansen scored on each side of half as Hamburg won its first home match this season, 2-0, over Hoffenheim on Sunday at Imtech Arena in the Bundesliga.

Hamburg was winless in six home matches this season and 10 dating back to last season, but Guerrero scored in the 25th and Jansen sealed the game in the 65th as the hosts extended their unbeaten streak to five games, and climbed out of the bottom three into 14th place.

Hoffenheim lost for the second time during a three-game winless streak, and is in ninth place.
