Jennifer Hamson had 18 points and nine rebounds Saturday and No. 22 BYU avenged an earlier loss by defeating Saint Mary's 83-47 Saturday.
The Gaels beat BYU 54-48 in their West Coast Conference opener on Dec. 31.
BYU (21-4, 9-2) was led by its centers. Hamson and Kristen Riley, who contributed 15 points and six rebounds, were too much for the Gaels (16-8, 7-4).
The Lady Cougars also made eight 3-pointers in their ninth straight home victory.
BYU pressured Saint Mary's into committing 29 turnovers, converting them into 40 points. Jackie Nared had a team-high eight points for the Gaels, who barely shot 25 percent.
