Freiburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Hamburg extended its unbeaten run to four games on Sunday as it cruised past Freiburg in a 3-0 win at the Mage Solar Stadion.
The visitors broke the deadlock 37 minute in as Maximilian Beister fired home a left-footed shot off of a pass from Milan Badelj.
Hamburg doubled its advantage just two minutes into the second half through Pierre-Michel Lasogga's sixth Bundesliga of the campaign, and Rafael Van der Vaart wrapped up the affair in the 63rd minute with his sixth league goal of the season.
Hamburg's four-game unbeaten run brings the club to 12 points on the season, seven points clear of Freiburg, which finishes the weekend second from bottom in the German top flight.
Also on Sunday, Eintracht Frankfurt saw its streak of four straight Bundesliga draws come to an end as it suffered a 4-1 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach at Borussia Park. Juan Arango and Stefan Aigner exchanged goals early on before Oscar Wendt handed Monchengladbach the lead, and the home side marched on to all three points behind second-half goals from Patrick Herrmann and Raffael Araujo.
