The Montreal Canadiens signed goaltender Peter Budaj to a two-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Budaj, 30, has played eight games with seven starts for the Canadiens this season. He has posted a 6-1-1 record with one shutout, a 2.17 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
The eight-year veteran has a 112-99-33 career record with a 2.79 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 267 games with Colorado (2005-11) and Montreal (2011-13).
