Sao Paulo, Brazil – Hamburg striker Paolo Guerrero is on his way to Brazilian side Corinthians, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Wednesday.
Guerrero still must undergo a medical and officially sign his contract with Corinthians, but Hamburg's sporting director, Frank Arnesen, told his club's website that the deal is done.
"The clubs have already agreed on the transfer," Arnesen said.
"It will be a great opportunity for Paolo to play for Corinthians. We wish him much luck and success in his endeavors."
Corinthians recently won the Copa Libertadores after claiming the Brasileiro title last season, and the 28-year-old Guerrero will join the side after notching six goals in 23 appearances for Hamburg last term.
