The Redskins will get more information on injured linebacker Ryan Kerrigan (fractured right hand) on Monday when he meets a hand specialist. USA TODAY Sports Mitch Stringer
Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan fractured his right hand Sunday during the team's Week 7 31-30 comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kerrigan will see a hand specialist on Monday before undergoing what would likely be season-ending surgery, per head coach Jay Gruden's post-game press conference.
Kerrigan has never missed a game in his five-year career with the Redskins, but that could obviously change. Kerrigan has already racked up 3.5 sacks this season and countless quarterback pressures. Rookie Preston Smith will likely see the bulk of snaps if Kerrigan is forced to miss extended action.
