Giants' Manning expects to play Saturday against Ravens

Manning needed 12 stitches after a collision with his own team mate during an August 16 game knocked his helmet off and sent him face first into the facemask of an opposing player.

"I'll play on Saturday," Manning told the team website (www.giants.com). "So I'm excited about that."

Manning, who led the team to a Super Bowl championship in 2008 and has started in the Giants' last 87 regular-season games, practiced with the Giants on Monday.

The team open their regular season on September 12 versus the Carolina Panthers.
