Cincinnati, OH – The San Francisco Giants placed first baseman Aubrey Huff on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with anxiety disorder.
The move is retroactive to Sunday, one day after Huff forgot to cover second base on a potential double-play in the ninth inning against the Mets, leading to the winning run.
Huff, 35, is batting .182 in 12 games this season, his third for the Giants.
San Francisco called up infielder Joaquin Arias from Triple-A Fresno.
