Giants' Beatty lands on IR

East Rutherford, NJ – The New York Giants placed Will Beatty on injured reserve Wednesday.

Beatty started the season's first 10 games at left tackle. He underwent surgery last week to repair a detached retina in his right eye.

The Giants signed linebacker Chase Blackburn to fill the roster spot. Blackburn played for the Giants from 2005 through last season, starting 17 of 93 games. He led the team in special teams tackles in each of his six seasons.
