Giants activate LHP Affeldt

The San Francisco Giants activated pitcher Jeremy Affeldt from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday.
The left-hander had been on the DL since July with a strained left groin. Affeldt missed the last 50 games.
Affeldt was 1-4 with a 3.51 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 38 appearances prior to the DL stint.
