Fractured finger lands Rays' Jennings on DL

The Tampa Bay Rays placed center fielder Desmond Jennings on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday with a fractured left middle finger.

To take his spot on the roster, the Rays recalled Jason Bourgeois from Triple- A Durham.

Jennings has batted for a .258 average and scored 69 runs while recording 11 homers, 40 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 104 games this season. He injured the finger while sliding during the Rays' win over the Giants on Saturday.
