Former Browns President Mike Holmgren was an unexpected visitor at the team's afternoon training camp practice.

Holmgren, whose tenure running the Browns ended with him being replaced by new owner Jimmy Haslam, is in the area for Saturday's Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. He claimed he was driving by the facility and stopped in, not knowing practice was going on.

Holmgren visited on the field with Haslam and spent a few minutes with running back Trent Richardson before leaving. Holmgren left the Browns last October, shortly after Haslam hired Joe Banner as the team's CEO.

Holmgren misses being part of the NFL on a daily basis, but said he was not reflective during his visit. He served as Cleveland's president from 2010-2012 after being hired by former owner Randy Lerner.

Holmgren spent 17 seasons coaching Green Bay and Seattle, winning a Super Bowl with the Packers in 1996.
