Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason will be sidelined for two weeks with a lower body injury, the club announced Sunday.

Late in the first period of Saturday's game against the Bruins, Mason made a save on a Craig Cunningham shot and grabbed his right leg. He was eventually helped into the locker room and replaced in net by Ray Emery.

Mason had left a practice on Wednesday and underwent an MRI to take a look at an unspecified injury, but the results were negative and he was in net for Thursday's victory over the Washington Capitals.

The 26-year-old had missed four games in December with a back injury and is just 8-12-6 with a 2.47 GAA this season.

The club recalled goaltender Rob Zepp from Lehigh Valley to back up Emery.
