TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Florida State safety Lamarcus Brutus was ejected for a targeting penalty during the first quarter of Saturday's game against South Florida.
Brutus made contact with South Florida's Lamar Robbins with his helmet during a punt return by Jesus ''Bobo'' Wilson. The penalty was reviewed by replay and confirmed. Targeting penalties are 15 yards and an ejection in college football.
Brutus, a senior, is a starting safety for the 11th-ranked Seminoles. He led Florida State with seven tackles in last Saturday's 59-16 win over Texas State.
