New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Syracuse is still the top-ranked men's college basketball team, but Florida jumped up one spot to second and took one first-place vote away from the Orange in the latest Associated Press poll.
Syracuse recorded last-second wins over Pittsburgh and NC State last week to remain one of only two undefeated teams in Division I men's basketball. Wichita State is the other.
The Orange received 64 first-place votes and 1,624 points from a nationwide media panel. They were a unanimous top choice the last two weeks.
Florida won at Kentucky on Saturday to move up one spot. Wichita State moved from fourth to third while Arizona, which lost to Arizona State last week, dropped from second to fourth.
Duke jumped up three spots to fifth and was followed by San Diego State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Villanova and Saint Louis.
The second 10 consists of Louisville, Creighton, Michigan State, Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Kentucky, Texas and Michigan. Louisville and Creighton are tied for 11th. Creighton vaulted seven spots from 18th after a pair of wins last week, while Iowa State dropped six places from 11th after losing to West Virginia and beating Texas Tech.
Connecticut, Memphis, UCLA, Ohio State and Gonzaga are the last five teams ranked. UCLA and Gonzaga rejoined the poll, replacing SMU and Pittsburgh.
This week's ranked matchups will be highlighted by Syracuse at Duke on Saturday. When these teams met in Syracuse on Feb. 1, the Orange pulled out a 91-89 win in overtime.
