Flames put D Giordano on IR

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames placed defenseman Mark Giordano on injured reserve Wednesday.

The 28-year-old appeared to pull a hamstring muscle as he stretched to block a shot during Tuesday's 1-0 win over Nashville.

In 23 games this season, Giordano has notched four goals and four assists. For his career, he has netted 32 goals and collected 84 assists in 300 games -- all with the Flames.
