's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands (Sports Network) - Top seed David Ferrer stormed into the semifinals at the UNICEF Open, a final grass-court Wimbledon tuneup.
The 2008 Den Bosch titlist routed Dutch wild card Igor Sijsling, 6-0, 6-1, in 42 minutes at Autotron Rosmalen. Ferrer, the only seeded player remaining, dropped just three points on serve.
The world No. 6 Spaniard's semifinal opponent will be Benoit Paire after the Frenchman battled past Japan's Tatsuma Ito, 6-3, 7-5.
Thursday's other quarterfinal winners were German qualifier Philipp Petzschner and veteran Belgian Xavier Malisse. Petzschner topped Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), while Malisse outlasted Luxembourg's Gilles Muller, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
Petzschner and Malisse will meet in Friday's other semifinal match.
The newest UNICEF champion will collect $85,000.
