Fenerbahce signed Turkey defender Egemen Korkmaz on Thursday on a three-year contract.

The 29-year-old Korkmaz, capped eight times for his country, was a free agent after his contract with Besiktas was canceled earlier this week.

Korkmaz will join Turkey international defenders Gokhan Gonul, Bekir Irtegun and Hasan Ali Kaldirim, and goalkeeper Volkan Demirel at Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce also signed reserve goalie Serkan Kirintili to a two-year contract extension, just one day after Turkey international midfielder Mehmet Topal was signed from Valencia.
