Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli has opted to sign a new contract that ties him to Los Che through 2016 instead of making a move to PSG, it was announced on Friday.
The 23-year-old signed with Valencia in 2010 from Grenoble and has established himself as a key piece in the team, appearing in 22 matches and scoring six goals this term.
He was widely rumored to be a target of the big-spending Ligue 1 side, but said that he never seriously entertained leaving.
"There was interest from another club, but my concern has always been with Valencia," Feghouli said. "At no moment did I want to leave Valencia - I am at one of the best clubs in the world, the third in La Liga. The football in this league fits perfectly with my style, and I have everything here to grow at Valencia. I am very happy here."
Feghouli represented France at various youth levels in international competition, but has opted to play for Algeria's senior national team, earning eight caps for the African nation.
