England's Football Association announced Thursday that racist or discriminatory actions will carry a minimum five-match ban from next season.
"Importantly, today's agreement encompasses all elements of discrimination, not just racial abuse," said FA chairman David Bernstein.
The five-match ban will serve as the "entry level" punishment for lesser discriminatory offences with more serious infractions inducing longer suspensions.
