Senior Chris Allen, who was dismissed from Michigan State's basketball team more than two weeks ago, will enroll at Iowa State on Monday.

Iowa State spokesman Mike Green confirmed the news to FOXSports.com on Friday.

Allen had been in a tough position with Spartans coach Tom Izzo and the program since last spring and was suspended before the Big Ten tournament for not meeting responsibilities to his teammates.

The 6-foot-3 guard started 27 games and averaged eight points per game last season for Michigan State, which reached the Final Four for a second straight year.

At the time of his release, Allen said that he was leaving Michigan State on good terms with his teammates and coaches.
