AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy is set to spend even more time on the sidelines because of a fractured foot.
El Shaarawy has appeared in four games for Milan this season, scoring one goal, while he has been out since Sept. 1 because of a thigh strain.
The 20-year-old was expected back in time for Tuesday's trip to the Netherlands to face Ajax in the Champions League, but he will be out a further spell after sustaining a hairline fracture in his left foot.
Milan has yet to reveal how long the Italy international will be out, but the club did get some good news with midfielder Ricardo Montolivo set to make his return after a two-week absence because of a thigh problem.
