PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick left Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with chest and rib injuries.
Vick was injured during the first quarter of the divisional matchup when he was sandwiched between two Washington defenders at the one-yard line after scrambling for a 23-yard gain that was called back because of a Philadelphia penalty.
According to television reports, Vick suffered chest and rib injuries and will play no part in the rest of the game. There was no word on whether he would be ready for the team's next game against San Francisco on October 10.
Vick was 5-of-7 for 49 yards with three rushes for 17 yards at the time of the injury.
Kevin Kolb, the team's starting quarterback until he suffered a concussion in the opening week of the season, replaced Vick.
