Angel McCoughtry paced the Atlanta Dream 80 victory over the Indiana Fever.

Lindsey Harding added 17 points and seven rebounds, and Erika de Souza dropped in 14 points in Atlanta's second straight victory.

Tamika Catchings scored a game-high 22 points, but missed two consecutive layups in the closing seconds of the game that would have brought the Fever within a point.

The Fever headed into this home-and-home series with Atlanta looking to clinch their seventh consecutive appearance in the WNBA postseason, but failed to put some distance between themselves and the Connecticut Sun in the race for the Eastern Conference regular season crown.

Indiana holds a one-game lead over Connecticut in the conference.

Just one win by the Fever or a loss by the Chicago Sky will ensure Indiana of reaching the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Atlanta held a 10-point lead at the half, but were outscored 29-17 in the third quarter to face a 61-59 deficit entering the fourth quarter.

Tangela Smith and Catchings scored back-to-back layups to tie the game at 80 with a minute to go in the contest. Harding then made a jumper and 1-of-2 free throws to give Atlanta a three-point lead with 17.8 seconds to go before Catchings failed to find the bottom of the net on back-to-back layups.

Free throws by Sancho Lyttle and de Souza iced the game for the Dream.
