Nick Doscher threw for 228 yards and ran for a touchdown to help Wagner beat Robert Morris 23-13 Saturday in a Northeast Conference showdown.
Wagner (5-3, 5-1) got off to a fast start when Otis Wright returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for the touchdown and the early 7-0 lead. Two field goals in the second quarter by David Lopez, one of 32-yards and another of 33-yards, made it 13-0 at halftime.
With the game still close going into the final quarter, Doscher's 1-yard touchdown run with 9:26 left in the fourth put the game out of reach and extended the Seahawks lead to 20-3.
While the Seahawks defense held RMU (2-6, 1-4) scoreless the first three quarters, the Colonials scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.
Wagner improves its all-time record against Robert Morris to 12-7.
