LONDON (AP) Borussia Dortmund looks to be finding its stride again in the Bundesliga under new coach Thomas Tuchel, while Claudio Ranieri surprisingly has Leicester atop the Premier League standings.
On a good Saturday for newcomers, Claudio Beauvue scored his first goal for Lyon to secure a victory against his old club Guingamp in the French league, while Iker Casillas kept a clean sheet in his first game for Porto in Portugal.
Here's a look at the top European leagues on Saturday:

GERMANY
Borussia Dortmund routed Borussia Moenchengladbach 4-0 at home in its Bundesliga opener, displaying the kind of tenacious free-flowing football that led the club to back-to-back titles in 2011 and 2012.
Under Tuchel, who took over from Juergen Klopp after the club's difficulties last season, Dortmund dominated possession and chances from the start.
Henrik Mkhitaryan scored twice while Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also netted for Dortmund, which led 3-0 after just 33 minutes.
''We knew we had to play to the limit from the start,'' said Tuchel, who has led Dortmund to four wins from four competitive games with 12 goals scored and none conceded.
Earlier, Schalke earned a 3-0 victory at Werder Bremen while promoted Ingolstadt claimed its first top-level win with a 1-0 victory over Mainz.
Defending champion Bayern Munich kicked off the season with a 5-0 win over Hamburger SV on Friday.

ENGLAND
A 2-1 win at West Ham gave Leicester a second straight Premier League victory to open the season and moved the team top of the fledgling standings, on goal difference above Manchester United.
Japan striker Shinji Okazaki and winger Riyad Mahrez, with his third goal already this season, scored for Leicester in the first half.
The season hasn't started so well for another team that narrowly avoided the drop last season. Sunderland was booed by its own fans during a 3-1 home defeat to Norwich and has lost both its games, conceding seven goals.
''It was even worse than last week,'' Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat said. ''We have to go back to the basics.''
Stoke scored twice in the final 12 minutes to salvage a 2-2 draw at Tottenham, keeping both teams without a win after two rounds.
Romelu Lukaku struck twice in the first half and Ross Barkley added a late third as Everton beat Southampton 3-0 for its first win of the season.
Swansea joined Everton on four points after winning 2-0 at home to Newcastle, while Watford drew 0-0 with West Bromwich Albion in Saturday's other game.

FRANCE
Forward Claudio Beauvue came off the bench to score against his former club as Lyon earned a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Guingamp in the French league.
Lyon signed Beauvue from Guingamp in the offseason after he scored 17 league goals last term. He pounced in the 79th minute with a looping header from midfielder Jordan Ferri's right-wing cross.
''We didn't give up. I'm pleased for the team,'' Beauvue said. ''We know we still have some work to do.''
Also Saturday, Saint-Etienne's poor record against Bordeaux continued as it conceded a last-minute goal to draw 1-1.
Elsewhere, Rennes beat last-place Montpellier 1-0, and 10-man Troyes clawed back from 3-1 down to secure a 3-3 home draw against Nice.
In Saturday's other match, Angers drew 0-0 at home to Nantes.

PORTUGAL
Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas had a successful Portuguese league debut as Porto beat Guimaraes 3-0 to start its season.
Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar struck his first of two goals from Alex Sandro's deflected pass in the eighth minute. Maxi Pereira set him up in the 61st for a second goal.
Silvestre Varela netted in the 84th to secure the first three points of the campaign for Julen Lopetegui's side.
Casillas left Madrid last month after 16 seasons, three Champions League trophies and five Spanish league titles, following a dip in form during the past two seasons.
