Dorrian Williams scored 19 points and Missouri State out-scored Alaska-Anchorage 8-2 in the final 3 minutes for a 55-51 victory Wednesday in the consolation bracket of the GCI Great Alaska Shootout.
The Bears (3-2) led 25-22 at the half but the Division II Seawolves (2-5) had a 10-2 surge to open the second half. Anchorage did not relinquish the lead until Williams' jumper with 1:29 to play made it 51-49.
Camyn Boone, whose dunk tied the game at 49 with 2:45 left, added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for Missouri State. Austin Ruder followed Williams' tiebreaker with a basket after a Boone block.
The Bears shot just 36 percent, including a dismal 2 of 16 from 3-point range, but hit 15 of 23 free throws to out-score Anchorage by six points.
Anchorage hit eight 3-pointers but shot just 30 percent overall.
Travis Thompson led Anchorage with 14 points.
