Dolphins top Cowboys in preseason finale

Matt Moore completed 9-of-11 passes for 142 yard score to Jeron Mastrud in the third quarter, 3 win over Dallas.

The Dolphins, who sat starting QB Chad Henne, will host New England on Monday night, September 12 to begin the season.

Larry Johnson tallied 39 yards on the ground, including 22 on a TD run in the opening quarter.

The Cowboys didn't play Tony Romo for the preseason finale. Stephen McGee finished 21-of-25 through the air for 223 yards with an interception.

Rookie DeMarco Murray rushed for 32 yards and caught four balls for 64 more for Dallas, which begins the season on a Sunday night on the road against the New York Jets.

The Cowboys and Dolphins will also square off in Arlington on Thanksgiving Day during Week 12.
