The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated infielder Willie Bloomquist and pitchers Josh Collmenter and Takashi Saito off the 15-day disabled list.
In addition, on the first day of roster expansion, the club also recalled catcher Konrad Schmidt and purchased the contract of outfielder Tyler Graham from Triple-A Reno, while also activating recent waiver claim Cody Ransom.
Bloomquist had been on the disabled list since early August with a strained lower back. He hit .333 in four minor league rehab appearances. The 34-year-old veteran was hitting .300 in 79 games for the Diamondbacks before going on the DL.
Collmenter was also sidelined since early August with ulcers and threw eight scoreless innings during his three rehab appearances. The 26-year-old righty is 3-3 with a 4.24 ERA in 22 games, including nine starts, for Arizona this season.
Saito, sidelined for the past two weeks with a strained left hamstring, has no record and a 6.14 ERA in 10 games for Arizona this year.
Ransom was claimed off waivers from Milwaukee on Friday.
The Diamondbacks also transferred pitcher Daniel Hudson to the 60-day disabled list to open a spot on the 40-man roster. Hudson has been out since late June with a torn elbow ligament and underwent Tommy John surgery on July 9.
