Udine, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Antonio Di Natale scored twice in the first half to help Udinese to a 4-2 home win over Parma on Monday, marking the club's third straight victory.
Jose Mauri scored midway through the first half for Parma, while Di Natale netted his brace in the span of 17 minutes to put Udinese up, 2-1.
Antonio Cassano scored from the penalty spot just before the break to even the match at 2-2, but Thomas Heurtaux and Cyril Thereau scored after the break to move Udinese into third place, three points back of leaders Juventus and Roma.
Mauri scored his first Serie A goal in the 23rd minute when he was allowed space inside the penalty area to fire a shot toward goal that took a slight deflection on its way past Udinese netminder Orestis Karnezis.
Di Natale pulled his side level in the 28th by scoring after the ball was knocked down by Emanuel Badu, while he added another late in the half after a nice dummy from Thereau.
However, Parma was back on even terms by halftime when a foul by Udinese's Silvan Widmer handed Cassano the chance to score from the spot, which he did with little trouble.
Udinese went back in front with a fantastic goal from Hertaux in the 58th when he scored on an overhead kick from 10 yards after getting on the other end of a cross from Widmer.
Parma's comeback efforts took a hit in the 77th when Afriyie Acquah was handed a second yellow card, earning him an early exit, and Udinese sealed the win six minutes from time with a goal from Thereau.
Lazio rolled to a 4-0 victory at Palermo in Monday's other contest as Filip Djordjevic scored a hat trick to help the team snap up its second win of the Serie A campaign.
