Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry signed a one-year contract extension with the club on Monday.

Derry, whose current contract was set to expire this summer, will now remain with Rangers until 2014 -- four years after his arrival on a free transfer from English Championship side Crystal Palace.

"I'm absolutely delighted," Derry told the club's official website. "It's changing times once again with Harry (Redknapp) coming in and I find myself playing more now than I did under Mark Hughes."

"I'm just so delighted to commit myself to the club for another year. I'm enjoying my football more than ever."

QPR sits at the bottom of the table on 15 points from 23 matches, four points from safety.
