Top-seeded Juan Martin del Potro defended his title Sunday at the $525,000 Estoril Open with a straight-set victory over Richard Gasquet in the final.
Del Potro fired six aces and didn't face a break point in a 6-4, 6-2 win that took 87 minutes.
The second-seeded Gasquet saved five of the eight break points he faced but fell to 1-4 lifetime against the Argentine.
Del Potro earned $95,000 for his 11th career ATP title and second of the season after a win in Marseille.
Gasquet was seeking his seventh victory and first since 2010.
