After a dominating Week 6 performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the NFL named Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Hopkins caught 10 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-20 win. He is the first player in NFL history to record at least nine catches and 145 yards receiving in three consecutive games and tied a franchise record by topping the 100-yard mark for the fourth straight week.
The three-year veteran leads the NFL in receiving yards with 726 and is second in the league in receptions behind San Diego's Keenan Allen with 52.
This is the the first time Hopkins has won the award. He is the first Texan to be named Offensive Player of the Week since quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 13 of last season.
