NASCAR drivers Regan Smith and Paul Menard escaped injury Wednesday morning when they were involved in a passenger car accident on a mountain road in Colorado.

Both drivers are expected to race this weekend at the Sprint Cup stop at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Smith, Menard, Smith’s wife Megan and another passenger were on their way to a ski slope near Denver when Smith, the driver, lost control of his truck on an icy patch, according to Furniture Row Racing officials.

Officials said the truck slid off the road and crashed into trees.

The Smiths live near Denver, where the Furniture Row team is based.
