The Chicago Cubs placed reliever Rafael Dolis on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a mild right forearm strain.
The move is retroactive to May 27.
Dolis has yet to allow an earned run in five games with the Cubs this season.
The Cubs also designated pitcher Alex Burnett for assignment, a move designed to create room on the 40-man roster for pitcher Blake Parker, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Iowa.
Parker was 0-1 with seven saves and a 2.04 ERA in 16 relief appearances for Iowa this year. He made his major league debut with the Cubs last season, pitching in seven games.
The Cubs claimed Burnett off waivers from Baltimore at the beginning of the week.
