PITTSBURGH (AP) Rookie right fielder Jorge Soler has been activated by the Chicago Cubs from the 15-day disabled list.
Soler had been out since Aug 24 with a strained left side. He was not in the starting lineup Thursday when the Cubs played the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had been on a rehab assignment with high Class A Myrtle Beach.
In 90 games, Soler is hitting .265 with seven home runs.
