PHOENIX (Reuters) - The Phoenix Coyotes maintained their hot steak on home ice after a 3-2 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday earned them a 10th successive home triumph.
Lauri Korpikoski scored the only goal in the shootout to beat the Canucks and improve the Coyotes' home record to 16-5-0 on the year.
Jason LaBarbera made 28 saves in place of regular Phoenix (25-13-3) goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, including four saves in overtime.
Vancouver (23-16-1) forced overtime when Kyle Wellwood scored with 6:12 remaining in the third period.
Wellwood, Samuelsson and Mason Raymond all failed to score for the Canucks in the shootout.
