Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Dallas Cowboys running back and the NFL's leading rusher DeMarco Murray is questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a broken left hand.
Murray, who was limited in practice the last two day after not participating in Wednesday's session, underwent surgery Monday on his fractured left hand.
The 26-year-old was hurt late in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He ran for 81 yards with two touchdowns in the 38-27 victory, which lifted Dallas into first place in the NFC East. If he is able to go, the workhorse back will have to gut it out with a cast on his left hand.
Murray has 1,687 yards on the ground and also leads the league with 11 rushing touchdowns.
Joseph Randle will start if Murray can't go.
In addition, right tackle Doug Free (ankle) is doubtful and right guard Zack Martin (ankle) is questionable.
