Choi tops crowded leaderboard in Florida
Orlando, FL – Na Yeon Choi fired a six-under 66 Thursday to stroke lead after the opening round of the CME Group Titleholders, which is the final official event of 2011 for the LPGA Tour.
Choi picked up her fifth LPGA Tour title six weeks ago, and she has three top- three finishes in her last four starts.
Karrie Webb and Morgan Pressel are one stroke back at minus-five at Grand Cypress Resort. World No. 3 Cristie Kerr posted a four-under 68 and she was joined in fourth place by Maria Hjorth.
Paula Creamer headlines a group of seven players that share sixth place at minus-three.
World No. 1 Yani Tseng birdied three of four holes from the 14th en route to a two-under 70, which left her tied for 13th.
