Head coach Andy Reid insists he'll start the Chiefs' five best linemen, regardless of position.

Reid must not view Jeff Allen as one of those top-five blockers any longer, then.

Allen has been active for the Chiefs for two weeks since his return from a summer knee injury. In that span, he's received a grand total of zero starting snaps -- even when Reid tinkers with his starting five.

It was Zach Fulton, not Allen, who entered at right guard on Sunday against the Bengals. And for three previous weeks, Reid turned to Laurent Duvernay-Tardif at the spot.

Kansas City's line is still a major liability. That Reid won't turn to a former starter speaks volumes about where Allen stands in the organization today.
