Charlotte will host a Guinness International Champions Cup soccer match between Liverpool FC and AC Milan on Aug. 2.

The match will be played at Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers.

Relevent Sports announced the date of the game, which is part of a tournament that features eight of the most recognizable soccer clubs. The others are Real Madrid CF, Manchester United, Manchester City, AS Roma, Inter Milan, and Olympiacos.

The 12-round robin contests will be hosted in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Charlotte, N.C., Denver, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Dallas and one additional city from July 24-Aug. 2.

The championship game will be Aug. 4 at Miami's Sun Life Stadium.
