The San Diego Chargers announced Saturday year veteran linebacker Na'il Diggs on a year contract.
Diggs had been released by St. Louis on Monday. The 33-year-old had started 12 games for the Rams last season and made 36 tackles before being placed on injured reserve due to a torn right pectoral muscle.
A fourth-round selection of Green Bay in the 2000 draft, Diggs has made 139 career starts with the Packers, Carolina and St. Louis since breaking into the league and owns 11 1/2 sacks and five interceptions.
