The San Diego Chargers announced Monday that center Doug Legursky will go on season-ending injured reserve because of a knee injury.

Legursky left Sunday's 31-0 defeat of the New York Jets on a cart with an apparent left leg issue. Rookie Chris Watt took his place for the remainder of the contest.

"We'll make a decision in the next couple of days," said Chargers head coach Mike McCoy on who will take Legursky's spot in the starting lineup.

Legursky, a 28-year-old sixth-year pro, was signed on Sept. 11, after a neck injury to Nick Hardwick forced him onto IR.
