(SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics will continue their three-game road trip Friday against the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Celtics opened the trip with an 89-81 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday and halted a three-game slide in the process. Avery Bradley scored 21 points and Tyler Zeller added 18 in the win.
Jeff Green and Marcus Smart scored eight points apiece for Boston, which made 39.8 percent of its shots and turned the ball over only seven times. The Celtics stopped a four-game slide on the road and scored 49 points in the second half to put the Nets away.
"We've played some of our best basketball when behind," said Celtics coach Brad Stevens. "Just keep playing, keep figuring it out, grinding it out."
Boston won for the second time in the last nine games and will close the road trip Saturday against the Toronto Raptors.
The Celtics are 4-10 away from home this season.
Meanwhile, the Pacers are back home briefly following a four-game road trip (2-2) and suffered a 117-102 loss at Golden State on Wednesday. Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson scored 40 points, while Stephen Curry had 21 points and 15 assists.
Indiana was led by Solomon Hill's 21 points and David West contributed 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Donald Sloan and Luis Scola posted 14 points apiece off the bench in defeat.
The Pacers, who had an 11-point lead in the second quarter against the best team in the NBA and allowed 67 points in the last two periods, played most of the game without center Roy Hibbert after he sprained his left ankle midway through the first quarter. Hibbert didn't return to the court.
"He'll be day-to-day," Indiana coach Frank Vogel said. "He could barely walk on it so we'll see how he responds."
Indiana guards Rodney Stuckey (groin) and C.J. Watson (foot) are questionable for Friday's game.
The Pacers are 7-9 at home and will hit the road to Philadelphia Saturday for a matchup with the 76ers.
Indiana dropped a 101-98 decision at Boston on Nov. 7, as Jared Sullinger scored 17 points to pace the hosts and Chris Copeland tallied 17 points for the Pacers. The Pacers had won the previous four games in this series.
