It's been nearly two weeks since Celtic's 0 win at St Mirren, which lifted the club to within one point of Rangers and Motherwell at the top of the Scottish Premier League table.
And Celtic boss Neil Lennon is anxious to see his side return to league play with a showdown against Motherwell at Parkhead on Saturday.
"We're looking forward to it," Lennon said of the Motherwell match. "It's been a good break for the backroom staff and the players who weren't away on international duty.
"They're quite fresh and we're going into this one on the back of a good result at St Mirren. We're hoping to improve on that performance against a Motherwell team who have started the season very well."
The Hoops have conceded just two goals in their first five league encounters, while Motherwell has won three of its last four games, with a 3-0 defeat to Rangers marking the lone blemish.
Motherwell has been strong defensively as well with four successive clean sheets to start the season before yielding five goals in the past two games.
Rangers is on top of the SPL table on goal difference having won four successive contests by a combined score of 9-0, and the club will visit a Dundee United side with one win from five games.
Hearts enters the weekend in fourth place and travels to Inverness, which claimed its first win of the season last time out, while Kilmarnock hosts Dunfermline, St Mirren clashes with St Johnstone and last-place Hibernian entertains Aberdeen in the lone match on Sunday.
