The Cavaliers are awaiting a medical update on All-Star guard Kyrie Irving.
The team's leading scorer injured his left biceps in the first half of Sunday night's 102-80 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Irving missed five shots in 10 minutes before getting hurt and did not return.
Irving left Staples Center with his arm in a sling. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI, but the Cavs have not disclosed when the test will take place. The team is not practicing Monday.
This year's All-Star game MVP, Irving has been injury prone during three seasons in the NBA. He missed 38 games his first two years with a variety of injuries, including a broken nose, fractured jaw, broken finger, sprained shoulder and concussion.
Chasing a playoff spot, the Cavs can't afford to be without Irving. They host Miami, Oklahoma City and Houston this week.
