Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Cardinals added infielder Allen Craig to their 25-man roster for the World Series.
Outfielder Adron Chambers was dropped from the roster to make room for Craig.
Craig, who has been out with a foot injury, hit .315 with 13 homers and 97 RBI in 134 games during the regular season. He normally plays first base.
The Cardinals have decided to go with 12 pitchers and 13 position players again.
The pitchers include Adam Wainwright, Lance Lynn, Shelby Miller, Michael Wacha, John Axford, Randy Choate, Joe Kelly, Seth Maness, Carlos Martinez, Trevor Rosenthal, Kevin Siegrist and Edward Mujica.
Wainwright will face off against Boston starter Jon Lester in the series opener, which takes place Wednesday at Fenway Park.
The position players are catchers Tony Cruz and Yadier Molina, infielders Matt Adams, Matt Carpenter, Daniel Descalso, David Freese, Pete Kozma, Kolten Wong and Craig and outfielders Carlos Beltran, Matt Holliday, Jon Jay and Shane Robinson.
