St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Cardinals activated outfielder Randal Grichuk from the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.
Grichuk had been sidelined with a strained lower back since mid-April. He was 2-for-10 with a home run in six games this season prior to landing on the DL.
The Cardinals optioned first baseman/outfielder Xavier Scruggs to Triple-A Memphis to make room for Grichuk on the roster.
