Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Vancouver Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said Ryan Miller will start in net for Game 5 of the club's first-round playoff series against Calgary on Thursday.

Miller took over in Game 4 after starter Eddie Lack surrendered three goals on seven shots in the first period of Vancouver's 3-1 loss on Tuesday. Miller turned aside all 15 shots he faced the rest of the way, but the Canucks couldn't make a comeback and now face a must-win situation with a 3-1 series deficit.

"I thought he looked really good during the game in Calgary," Desjardins said about Miller after Thursday's morning skate. "Eddie has been great for us, but Miller was good in Calgary."

Miller was Vancouver's No. 1 goaltender for most of 2014-15 before suffering a knee injury in late February. The 34-year-old veteran returned to play in the regular-season finale, but Lack was given the nod for the postseason after Miller was shelled for five goals in a loss against Edmonton on April 11.
